Do you know about the Liturgical Institute in Ealing (outside London)? It’s an ambitious and impressive undertaking, headed up by Fr. Daniel McCarthy, OSB (monk of Atchison, KS) and Fr. James Leachman, OSB (Ealing Abbey). Lots of information on it here.
The summer 2013 courses are based on the first semester licentiate curriculum of the Pontifical Institute of Liturgy in Rome, accredited by the Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium. A whopping eight courses are announced: Liturgical Research Seminar, Liturgy in the West, Liturgical Spirituality, Liturgical Hermeneutics I, Eucharist in History, Intermediate Latin, Proficient Latin, and Seminar on the Eucharist.
I like the subtitle of the institute a lot: “For a detailed and peaceful study of liturgy.” Amen to that. May the institute flourish! But will there be enough students for all these courses?
